Looks like a Bizon variant with the barrel on the receiver centerline. Blowback 7.62x25.
the stock is whats got me interested, pretty neat lookin, idk why the lower handguard is extended on the receiver like that but its a cool gun
Several of the AK SMG variants do that, and I've seen it on other guns too. I'm not really sure why, other than maybe to keep your hand from sliding back to the magazine if you're shooting it from waist level.
On the other hand, it seems the Soviets thought it was okay to use the magazine as a foregrip - I've seen pictures of Mikhail himself shooting that way.
So, basically, I don't know either...
