My friend Matt stopped by today with his boys and he wanted to take the ZK-9 to the range.
So I grabbed the camera and took a couple of short videos while we were there.

Ever have one of those times when the word in your mind doesn't match what comes out of your mouth? (I meant to say ammo in the video.)
Anyway, this is Matt shooting. (Some of the ammo was old and one round didn't fire)

Even Matts youngest boy shot with us, but we only loaded one round at a time for him.

I was trying a different hammer.
I used a Saiga hammer and fcg before, but decided to try a U.S. made Tapco hammer.
The the mixing of U.S. and NON U.S. parts didn't work, so I pulled out the trigger at the range and threw it in the trash.
I installed a U.S. made trigger after I came home.

    No.
As I stated in post #21, I had some old ammo, but with the miss matched FGC parts, I'd also have the hammer follow once in a while.
This problem has been corrected now though and I won't mix these parts up again.

At least I know the weapon won't fire out of battery now for sure.

I was nice to be back to the range again, (It's been a long time) but I think the most fun was watching Matts son shoot.
I had several mags loaded with one round for him.

Now with all my old ammo shot up and the FCG problem corrected, the next time at the range it should run 100%

yea thats a big concern of mine doing a custom bolt .

I wish there was a good legal way way to set up the trigger group to only fire when the bolt is in the closed position .

I have some ideas Im not sure of the legality's .

I made arrangements for the 3D CAD work to be done on this 9mm AK project by the end of the month.
I want make enough parts made for 50 complete weapons and see where it goes from there.

So your looking to make you own bolts ?

I think there is a market for these guns if the price can be held down to what simualr blow backs go for.

Yes, I teamed up with ???? Armory MFG LLC, to produce the bolts, front trunnions, magwells and barrels.
We want to keep the cost as low as possible, but still produce a dependable weapon that the everyone can enjoy at a fare price.

    INTERESTING .

I HAVE WANTED TO MAKE BOLTS AN TRUNIONS FOR A FEW YEARS FOR POSSIBLE SALE IM JUST NOT IN THAT POSITION TO EVEN GET STARTED .

I think if you can be in line with a few other 9mm type blow backs you will do well. guys love the AK,s so its a going to be a draw .

I think a rifle with removable barrel so it could be a pack gun would do OK as well. please pit a spot on the RSBs for a canter lever scope rail to screw to like the polish archer pistol an then a scope is super easy to add.

I wish I could get a job doing somehting like that .

    sorry for the caps
