The picture of the completed(?) bolt shown in Shotgun News still has the feedlips intact. I was wondering if he will remove them in the following issue. I am sure the BATF is following the article.

I was just looking over the second part of the sten build and I see another thing thats been overlooked. I havent read the entire article, just the part about fitting the 16" bbl so I may have missed it but I dont see where he has takin any steps to prevent the original nfa regulated short bbl from bieng reinserted. I understand since the thompson contenedor rulling that this may be a grey area but I cant think of a single smg based semi build, with atf approval, that you can reinsert the original short machinegun bbl, not the uzi, not the atf approved catco sten, not the mini uzi, m3 greasgun, sterling, I can go on and on. The semi ppsh42/sr41 had to have its bbl welded in to be nfa compliant and it was built after the thompson rulling so I know this to still be an important issue

    pbb,
when you get a chance read the part on the mag housing and the trunion. what he does is weld the hand guard to the trunion, then the mag housing tube is welded to the reciver, the tube does not move to block the ejection port in the " carry" mode to keep the dirt out. the only way to put a diffrent barrel in would be to cut the weld's muttman
