Looks good. I need to do one of these as a pistol now that I've done the ant eater rifle type.

Couple questions. What mod did you make for the pistol grip? Also, looks like the front trunnion sticks out a bit. Was that planned or did you have to position the whole barrel section forward a bit? Just curious as I'm always looking for different ways to reach the same end.

well, the trunnion is sticking out because my welds broke while i was tearin up ammo today, so i gotta set it back some. as for the grip, i use 2 screwa from inside the recivers tg and make them flush to the outside.
im going to use some screws to look like rivits to hold my trunnion in and weld it later when i get to the welder.

as for mag to trunnion it was about 3/8'' gap. i might try setting it back and see if that helps the feeding withot needing the feed ramp. my feed ramp makes it run soo soooo good tho

Distance from front of mag to chamber should be 1/4 inch.

Note: Since your gun is not full-auto, the distance from stock to barrel can be shorter,i.e. about 9 inches would be good. It also haves in making the gun shorter overall.

Plus, shortening the distance comes in handy for using a hammer/trigger/sear set-up, instead of a striker.

Great looking sten. Good job. How does it handle firing it with the pistol grip? Any recoil?

well, dutigaf, if you will insert the locking pin on the magazine housing into the hole on the barrel bushing............then ensert the magazine into the magazine housing, and measure from the front of the mag to the chamber, you will get the correct distance.

I believe this will be 1/4 inch.

are you talking about a MKII?

dont have a hole in my barrel bushing that doesnt have screw/rivets in it?

maybe im just not following you close enough??

but my spacing is at 1/8" ..... so i may be too close

it shot great for a long time (about 700rnds) now it does that "bullet stuffing" about once every clip no matter which one i use.

ok the feed ramp is going in the gap between the mag and the trunnion.it is like a 1/3 circle shaped peice that is channeled with a round file in the center. the bullet ride accro this till it gets to the barrels chamber, but sits low enough that it dosent interfere with the bolt. the screw hole has to be drilled thru the tube from the outside in the center of the gap between the magazine sticking in the chamber and the plac on the trunnion that the bullet is usually jamming at. the ramp only contacts the bullet on the side just enough to let the tip stay high enough to enter the chamber and the rest of the phisycs of the gun take over

I been wondering and looking at a full auto bolt, i wonder if putting the semi bolt in a lathe and turning down the center a hair wouldnt improve overall function. it looks to me that the fa bolt slides on a front and rear ring and the rest of the bolt is slightly smaller, i wonder if we did this small reduction in diameter to the center and left two rings on each end if that would lessen the amount of friction, cuz as is the semi bolt makes contact with the entire legnth, where the orig has just slide rings. any thoughts ?
