The semiauto version can look just like the original if you're willing to do the paperwork and cough up the extra $200 for an SBR permit.

I am confused on the pistol grip. How exactly did you prevent the instalation of a shoulder stock in a manner to permanently preclude having an sbr?

all you have to do is make a pin and weld the pin in place..

then cut into your pistol grip so that it will slide over the pin.

the way the reg reads it just has to be that a "normal" rifle stock for the weapon cant fit on it....

another words you had to intentionally alter it to get it to fit and so you are willfully breaking the law in doing so.

when i made that first SA sten i did call and verify that and was given the "intention speech" by an agent.

not big deal. very easy for you to fix. i used a 3/16" rod and welded it from the back.

How did you manage to align and Weld the Mag Well so it can feed right?most mag wells are cut in different sizes so I welded mine on there and it was not aligned so the bullet couldn't feed itself into the chamber. Could you show pictures of how you welded the mag well?

i havent seen him in a while (on the site)...

but spotting the magwell is all about taking your time.

clean off the lip if they left you that part in the demill then set it in your hole.

i tack mine on the four corners then put in a clip and slide the bolt over it by hand.. test it several times and if all is good weld it up.

continue the tack welding around it and thats how i go about it.

one thing thats pretty common is for the mags to be not straight in the well....

this is not always about you getting the magwell straight! you may have it perfect, and the mag release can be shoving the clip from the side.

ive got a bunch of mags that got fixed just by looking them over real close and seeing if it was twisting in the well. if you do see it twist in the well all you gotta do is drill the magazine where the catch goes and open that hole up.

    hope this helps you.
