    The new Shotgun news has a write-up on this. I don't know if it's good or bad because I have never built one. It's interesting though. SEMIAUTOSTEN KITS! still has them listed, (mkIII)

    I don't think your going to find any cheap ones unless it's a private seller.
    Numrich also shows them

    amd: I TIP MY HAT & BOW TO YOU. WHAT A GREAT JOB, I HAVE BEEN TOYING WITH THIS FOR 20 YEARS OR MORE. DID YOU REALLY DO THIS WITH A DREMEL TOOL OR DID YOU USE A MILL MACHINE. I HAVE BEEN TOYING WITH BUYING A HARBOR FREIGHT SMALL MILL, THEY ARE REASONABLE &I HAVE THE KITS, I HAVE MOST EVERYTHING, EXCEPT THE HANDLE. YOU REALLY HAVE INSPIRED ME, I HAVE A RECEIVER TUBE WITH THE BIG SLOT DONE, I REALLY ADMIRE YOUR WORK AND I GIVE YOU THE UTMOST RESPECT.................CAMPBAKER

    dremel and rotozip all the way for all of the ones ive done.... just cant bring myself to spring for the mill as easy as these are to do.

    Mine shoots fmj great but hollow points not at all. Not untill I lowered the feed ramp w/ round file and polished it.

    IO has sten parts listed. Not super cheap as in the old days, but still a good deal. Complete front sections with barrel for $30 and $20 for the complete trigger housings.

    Wish I had nabbed more kits back when Tapco was selling them at 3 for $99 with mags included. But then again, what would I do with a pile of Stens other than sell them off later.

    I got a SAS 3 kit off them a few years back. Quality bolts and barrel trunnion parts IMO. The hammers they offered at the time however, were less than desirable, too light, and the springs were very stiff. Others have since come up with a better hammer and spring set.
