    Question VZ-26 reciever blanks??

Has anyone seen an 80% blank or even completed recievers for this thing? Also would anyone know anything about building one? The thing looks pretty good from the parts photo, but I can't find anything on the recievers.

artboy1, i assume your talking about the small smg advtzd in clearview/centerfire
in 7.62x25 cal? if so, you can get a full piece reciver tube W/template.+ all threads & machining done, except what you have to cut out with a DREMEL (just like the mkll
    &mklll tubes) at:
    Jeffs shooter supply
    P.O. box 1054
    trussville, Alabama 35173
    ph# (205) 833-3705 fax#(205) 836-0778
i dont remember the price, but it was something like $75 or 80+$12 s&h

rusty....sorry it took soo long to reply, I cound'nt remember where I put this post. This place has too much info and I have been glued in AK forums. Do you know if these tubes are for sten or vz-26? they look like they would take the same tube. also are they semi or full? if they're full can they be converted to semi with correct functioning? thanks for the info though!

hi artboy, jeff's has the tubes for the vz26. (sometimes called cz26) no the sten tubes cant be used, they are the wrong size. the 26 tubes are thicker & much better made then the stens. also, i think they are stainless steel. where are you getting your kit from? if its the ones i mentioned, they are full auto. i dont know about a semi auto conversion. you'd have to talk to the place your getting your kit from, and check with the A.T.F. just to be on the safe side. jeff's has all kinds of rec tubes & plates.
he's a great source, high quality & fast delivery. he might be able to answer some of your questions. good luck! rusty.

The tubing required is 1.625" out / 1.375" in and 13.1" long, and lathe down to 1.575" for original outside dimensions.....I assume 4130/4140 would do it.

The semi conversion will in principle be along the same lines as a Sten conversion. Surf around for semi sten info and you'll see what I mean - you'll basically convert it to an AK-style captive hammer & closed bolt mechanism. Machining will be required. Won't be easy, but then again nothing is. Not sure how parts count will work on on this.

Rhino may want to chime in here.
