There was a small group buy on Weaponeer a couple years ago. I passed only because the caliber could not be confirmed. Some guys got 9 x 19 and some got the advertised 9 x 23 ( Which I wanted).
Most of these were pretty rough kits w/ missing parts. quite a few guys were pissed & sent them back.
I have checked with MGS several times over the past two years and they are always out. But seem to have one or two now & then. Returns? I don't know.
My interest is the odball 9 x 23 Largo caliber.
But anyhow I am familiar with this kit from the group buy.

They were still on the MGS website until VERY recently.

OK, folks. Here's the deal. I'm going to call up MGS and see if I can keep the Z45 kits. (One is complete, one is missing the barrel, bolt, mag housing, and "lower reciever sleeve.") If they let me keep them, then I am looking to trade for kits for AKs, Suomis, KP44s, or even PPs's and PPSHs.

    Let the bidding begin!

    Hello MM,
You may be able to use a Portugese F.B.P. M-48 smg bolt and recoil spring assembly with slight adapting. The M-48 9x19mm barrel is another possible substitute if you can't locate the needed Spanish Z-45 parts.

Both of these smg's were knock-offs of the German MP-40 (with variation).

    Later,
    VD

Tempting offer. I called MGS twice today and both times I was told that they would call me back in a few minutes (but no-one ever did). They dont seem too interested in reclaiming their z45s.

Well; One and a half Z45 kits that never were a hit, are not worth them advertising for sale again. They will probably collect dust in a back corner.

So much for "conscience"...went from doing the right thing by sending them back to getting the most that you can from the highest bidder! Of course we are entitled to get the most from what we have, which I don't fault you for, but bringing conscience into it and then clearly disregarding a member here who not only helped you to figure out what you had but also clearly showed how much he wanted it kinda eats away at me. Sorry you couldn't get the kit Brad. -gman
p.s.: "disregard" probably isn't what you actually did, so I apologize for that term, but seeing how much Bradrock wanted that kit I'm sure something could have been worked out. After all, my "conscience" would have told me that someone offering me something near the $99.00 price that I paid originally for the KP44 kit was fair exchange.
It takes a nation of millions to hold us all back!

Heh..Heh.. Don't worry Gman old pal. I'm GLAD I did not have to deal with him.
My offer was an excellent Romy AND one of the nicest ALL MATCHING Fixed stock Yugo kits I have left. Maadi wanted me to throw in a Soumi kit to boot. Then came back & asked if I'd give my original offer. I said yes. He asked for my number to call me to make arrangements.
Instead, I get an email saying he got a better offer. Fine.
He got two Romanian kits, a flat & 20 bucks.

Maadiman is happy & so am I.
    Everything worked out fine.
" Conscience" ? Working a deal with a guy willing to trade at a BIG loss for his $200.00 investment & then go shopping for a better offer on any other boards?
Then coming back here to rub it in my face?

I'm glad I still have my kits.
    Best to ya Maadiman.
