Gunthings has the barrel with the kit MGS does not 1+ for the Gunthings & MGS kits as far as quality & the receivers & trunnions are available from a member little rhody over on the weaponsguild site there is also a loaner Flat bending jig going around his receivers have all the holes in the correct places & make your build a snap
I'm an expert @ what won't work & what not to do

There are also blanks for the receiver, you use the barrel shroud from the kit and weld the blank to it.
It's a hard call, do you want an original barrel or extra mags right off, there are places that have mags.

I just went and looked at both sites, MGS has "You may also add an original 10" PPSH-41 barrel to your purchase for $49.95" , so if you add a barrel that needs to be modified to work your up to the same price but with a few extra mags.

WOW that's kind of a hard one. If Gunthings kits are truely "like new" I'd think that's a fair deal, I know with MGS you get what ever they pull from the pile so you might get an excellent kit or a well used one.

But Gunthings does have a good deal on the trunnion, bracket & rivets though.

LOL I'm a dumb ass, must of had a brain fart.

I'd go with the MGS kit since you get all those mags & a drum.

Are you planning to SBR it? If you are you might want to concider the IO blank receiver, it doesn't have the rear trunion, it is an FFL item and will still need some minor work but it's as close to a 100% receiver that I've seen.

If you get a PPSh41 kit let me know, I might be able to help with the rear trunion issue, not promising anything yet because I got to dig through a couple boxes to see if I still have it.

I just ordered $239 MGS kit, I might get the IO blank receiver. If you have the rear trunnion let me know... I have no idea what's FFL on that gun and what's not, nor what is not included with the kit. Has to be shipped to TX then I have to bring the mags by hand into MD, because I am allowed to possess them here, just not buy them here. assinine!

I will more than likely SBR it, because I can.

The upper receiver is the FFL item.
