    Default in need of flats for a mac 10

    i am looking for a good deal on flats kits for a mac 10 i found a vendor on gun broker but it wants a cashiers check mailed.
    so i am a little Leary. anyone know a good source of flats?

    ya but that is a foldable flat ever try to fold 1/8 the inch steel??
    it is a pain in the ass.

    Hello cldump,
    Those 1/8th inch thick M-10 flats are easier to fold if you groove the fold line (inside surface) with a mill cut about .065 inch deep. A 1/2 inch ball end mill works for this groove. Also a 3/8 inch diameter end mill with the corners bevelled to 45 degrees works fine. Always fold these flats sandwich clamped to the proper size mandrel.

    If you dont want to fold, look for the three part weld up pieces, remember you will also need the mag well and the trigger guard, but its an easy build if you can weld or find a friend who can

    The weld together is fairly straight forward. Took me about an hour from start to finish

    RH-Custom has mac-10, mac-11, mac11/9 flats, really good quality.
