When I was a kid my parents bought groceries once a month. They probably kept two or three months on hand, and rotated stock. I thought it was perfectly normal.

Both grew up in the Depression, and most of the people I know who lived through that operate the same way.

The time may be set but not by third-world nutcases driven by 1,000+ year-old moldy concepts of how to change/rule the world.

They're dangerous, yes, but not the arbiters of doom. More like the ankle-biters of doom.
I have a daughter. I tell her, "911 is what you dial after you're raped. 1911 is what you should have before they try."

"To show you how radical I am, I want carjackers dead. I want rapists dead. I want burglars dead. I want child molesters dead. I want the bad guys dead. No court case. No parole. No early release. I want 'em dead. Get a gun and when they attack you, shoot 'em."
