Default New SHTF Transportation - Specialized 29 Inch Bike

New Bike - Specialized 29 Inch

My first bike is a Gary Fisher Big Sur and it served me well for almost 20 years.

Time for a new bike and keep the old one in reserve. A come across a Specialized HR SPT on a close out so I decided I could use a good SHTF mode of transportation.

I hope to get some time to break in my new ride this summer.

    Something I saw on craigslist:

Motorized Huffy beach cruiser. Gets 150 MPG. will get up to 40 MPH. its 5-6 horsepower (80 cc) With basket and cup holder on front of bike, Saddle bags on the back, or you can take them off and have a rack to strap stuff down to. Its great for riding around town. Listed for $400.

Something to consider as an alternate form of transportation.

An ATV is much better, you can carry all the essentials, you never know when you gonna be faced with a SHTF scenario. Now this is "specialized", the bike is just a bike IMO
