The other day someone posted a link to a Forum dedicated to the MG-42 . I cant find it and it's making me nut's . I got a couple kit's coming and I'm wanting to get in touch with folks who have built them . Or if anyone here has experiance with the thing's , I got a couple questions . Thanks , Will
Thanks Illya , now I'll have to stop talking bad about you . Or at least limit it till you're not around . Arnt a couple guys on this site building them ?
You can do a search on the website - there's been a few threads on the subject. I think the majority feeling is they are not worth the money or the effort vs TIG welding the receiver pieces back together.
I've been cruising all over the site , havn't found anything on them . I'm a bit nervous about doing a weld up on whats going to be a rental gun . The 80%'rs are $445.00 which would be a small price to pay for peace of mind , but I'd really like to know what 20% is left undone and to hear from someone [other then a co. rep.] on the overall quality/buildability of the piece .
Are you sure they weren't BRP 80% receivers? the phil ord is made from a steel block.
