    Default Problems with Century Arms

I recently bought an MG42 kit from Century. It came without a barrel. I have been in contact with them and it appear that they are not going to give me a replacement barrel. I posted the full story here. Any suggestions on how to deal with them?

That's pretty raw , seem's like they'd deal with you . How about sending them a e-mail with a link to every board you post on telling the tale ?

I'm not a member there, it ask me to login........anyway, if you paid by CC........and I hope you did, contact the CC company and have them take back the money........that should get their attention real fast.

if you didn't pay by CC........you pretty much are screwed other then contacting the BBB, telling your story on gunboards....e-mail campaign, phone calls to them to get what you paid for.

Sorry about the link. I didn't realize that you couldn't view it.

I had already checked with the BBB and they aren't members from what I can tell.

I payed with my check card and wasn't sure if they could do the charge back like a CC. Called my checking account company(B of America) and they informed me that it works just the same with check cards. Guess since they have the VISA logo it works the same.

Here is what I posted on the other site that explains what happened:

I spoke with my check card company(bank of america) and it appears that you can do a charge back with a check card just like you can with a CC. They initiated this "inquiry process" and at the end of one month if Century doesn't provide me with an RMA for a return or sends the barrel or credit, I get the money back.

I called Century for the RMA number as part of the process of getting my money back and got a different guy on the phone. Long story short, I will be getting a credit back for $50 (this is the amount that I figured I could purchase a new barrel for). However, the "manager" said that he will be freezing my account so that I can longer purchase from the ever again. What a loss! I would never deal with these guys ever again if someone payed me to. The CS rep. also told me that the persn I spoke wth the first 2 times should have never told me that they were going to "send one out". He said that they always do a weight trace to determine what the situation is. Thanks again for the help guys.

That really sucks!!! I have had good dealings with Century myself, but I have heard bad stories.
