    Default 42SA build

thought I would post a pic of a couple of 42 semi autos I have built with the help of the 42 group http://www.panzer46.net/mg42board/ , if you havent yet you should really check this group out. Nice guys and tons of useful info on the 34 and 42, such an addictive group/gun youll have to have one for each hand. the far one is full size, the closer one has been shortened to 16 1/8" bbl. I have a virgin brp rec welded up from the left and right stampings they offer and am waiting on a set of the shroud stampings to finish building a pistol rec, current plan is 10" bbl.

Looks nice! I saw the thing about the 16" barrel on mg42.us and am very curious to see how it shoots. Are you lathing any spare barrels for that one, or just running it with the single barrel?

the 42sa karbine is running like a dream, two 50 rd belts this weekend without a single problem. really turned out kinda nice from a balance standpoint. I have a spare 8mm and a .308 bbl that I am going to shorten up for the project

I am building the pistol simply for the heck of it, call it boredom, stupidity or whatever, I just want a light beltfed that I can shoot from the hip with the biggest possible fire ball
