That striker system sounds like the concept that Rhino designed a few months back. He put some pics up on that thread.

Seems like a ton of things done to make the FA stuff "not work". Is all of that really necessary, I wonder? Since the -42 conversion requires only 2 things (grind of sear lug on bolt and weld in a block in the receiver), I wonder if all those additional items are necessary.

I've been too busy to work mine lately. I'm very interested in seeing progress on this!!!

they say there are no new ideas just improvements on the old. Me and my bud thought we had the perfect new idea, I arrived at the creek and there it was at the wiselite booth, just about like we thought up.

I think the more failsafe methods of preventing the insertion of nfa controlled parts the better.
Could you post a link to the thread you mentioned? Always like to read other peoples thoughts

yep your right, rhino described the same striker I was thinking of in about 5000 less words.LOL.

Ill get off my butt and get the cad drawings for the rec together to send over to you at some point. One of the rec I saw at the creek this weekend was fabbed from rectangular tubing. If you think of the hump in the bottom as an add on this rec is really simple.

FWIW, the M60 semi build has a striker in a similar configuration.

Has anyone tried using a side hammer and transfer bar like the swiss M57?
