I am building a 1919a4 - fullsize not a pistol and am thinking about
using a duracoat finish instead of parkerizing. Has anyone tried to
match the greenish mil-spec finish with duracoat?

thanks. I did it to make it more transportable. Its shorter and a little lighter this way. The cool facter rises a bunch too I must admit..hehe....I used a 30.06 booster on the short barrel for .308 and it cycles perfectly. I have two standard length barrels and shrouds that I have refinished as well but the shorty usually stays on it....
