The entire build.... 8mm conversion with all the parts and a registered RSP was just under $1200.00

    The transit case..... "priceless"

That is one sweet build. I have been thinking of trying to build one of those.

Looks great. Is the finish just the park or did you paint it too.

    Thanks....
After the gun was parked and rinsed. It was put in a black oxide solution then rinsed again and oiled. The finish is a nice dark black.
Its Pirates process to get the metal black.

jj, the more I look at that case the more I like it! You really did an excellent job on it. How about building me one to hold my 3 AKs? I would gladly pay for one that nice. Maybe stencil some images from the Romanian military??

If you want to try it yourself here's a link to Pirate's tutorial....(I modified his design)

Thanks again jj. Didn't realize that this was another of pirate's projects. Everything he does is first rate. I actually think I would like to try this myself. As for the stencils, I have a brother who is a graphic designer and can make just about anything that has to do with graphics. I'm visiting him in Florida next week and will see what we can come up with. If we can accomplish anything I will post them here and if they are nice enough I will have more made and share them.

    Yep, Pirate is da man....

I'll be interested in what you come up with for stencils.
Good luck on your wooden case.

    Very nice jj.

Building a transit case for my 1919 is high on my to do list as soon as it warms up a little (it's 8 here today)

There are some plans on the liberator site (artwork also) that I have been looking at for ideas.
