That looks really nice . When I riveted mine I machined a bar to plug in the bbl socket then peened my rivets against the bucking bar with the impact hammer and a rivet forming tool. Made pretty easy work of it. Used my plinker like jig for the rest .

IMA had belts for $8 each a while back, I have seen them as little as $5

SOG has/had 250 rd cans of linked ammo for $28 each delivered in 10 QTY

the belt fits maxim, pkm, sgm, sg43 and . There is a fellow on weaponeer selling belt loading machines for aprox $270 delivered. A must with these belts

Interordnance has 250-rd belts alone for $40. No cans available.

PBB, do you have a link to the $5 belts? I looked on IMA's site this morning and all they list are the Maxim belts and Maxim cans at $40. I think it would be nice to have some spare belts just for the range at that $5-$8 price!

ETA other vendors I've called today:

    - IO: 250 /no can / $40
    - SOG: OUT
    - Ammunitionstore: OUT
    - MG34.com: 250+can=$30 // 100+can=$45
    - IMA: 250+can $40

No one has belted ammo (not that it is that hard to belt it by hand!), only the ammo cans.

What I am *REALLY* looking for is a sling and a tripod sling. I simply can't find any! If anyone has any leads, or has one they are willing to part with, please let me know!

wow your right , my guess is with the semi pkm and semi maxims on the horizon that folks have cleaned the cheap sources like northridge out . $30 for a can and a belt seems ridiculous. Did you try sarco?

I looked but Sarco didn't show anything that I could find. I ordered from MG34, I figure better to have some than to wait. I'm ordering some steel for the rails and want to get this cranked out.

Darned if I can find a sling - I am out of ideas for a PKM sling. Willing to pay!
