    Default My 1/2 scale M2, 1917, and 1919

After seeing panaceabeachbum's posting of his mini's, thought would share mine too. All are 1/2 scale semi autos of the M2, 1917 water cooled, and the 1919 air cooled.

These are not kits, but scratch built models from CCS Prints (http://www.ccsprints.com/). They use a modified Ruger 10/22 receiver and barrel to maintain the semi-auto function. This was a low cost alternative, for me anyway, to have .22 semi auto model of these guns. I also built my own ammo cans and transit cases. These models keep the Ruger rotary mag feed.

    Here is the M2

The M2 in the transit case

    The 1919

    The 1917 at a show

The 1917 and 1919 in a common transit case

I envy those that can build stuff like that from scratch. Those are beyond cool. An art form for sure.

Thanks to all for the compliments and the welcome. The transit cases give a good storeage and transport unit to keep them from getting scratched and beaten up.

Took me almost as long to scale, build, and felt line the transit cases as it did to build the guns.
