Any luck yet?
Any luck yet?
I have been really busy at a new unit and some other projects, but I have rebuilt the bolt extension more in line with the original plans, but have not touched it for a couple of weeks. Now I have the in-laws coming in town so I doubt I will be getting to it for a few more weeks. Sorry-John
Any news on this build?
I think i have the issues resolved, but I have yet tot get to the range. I have been in the field and have not had the time. As soon as I get it running I will shoot a video and post it......
It runs!! And is fun. It still is not 100% , but it gets through about 9 out of 10 rounds in a 10 round belt. I loosened up the links a little and ran hot ammo and it was blasting! My friend shot a video, I will post it as soon as he sends it to me.

That is super cool you got it going. Can't wait for the video.
It.s only taken a year and a half from concept to some semblance of operation.
Glad to hear you got it going.
It might just need some more break in time to loosen it up some more?

That's about what I was thinking. We'll see how it goes. I am also going to order some .311 ruskie bullets to see if it may increase pressure and cycling. Still, when it actually fired more than one shot, I nearly soiled myself. Now, I will take it apart, clean and polish all I can and that may help. Then get it looking pretty.
I actually need to come up with a sling and bipod or something. The way I made it right now, you have to pull the bold to the rear when loading. That means you need one hand holding the bolt while the other places the belt and closes the top-cover. So, if you don't have the gun sitting on something, you need an extra hand to load it.
Still waiting on the video, but here it is a little cleaned up with a paint job and the proper yugo furniture on it. I swear it works
