Gunter is a member at the akfiles and you guys have been very nice to him
compared to what they did to him there.

YES you are correct on that. most of us are members there too.

this staying on topic about PKM's is really what we are after though. they are fantastic guns & pretty easy to build.

    K. I don't like the stainless look. It's to avant garde for me, while I am not a total purist
somethings take a moment to get used to.

hear ya. i dont "hot blue".. no set up for it... so this big ole monster of a barrel was just too much for me to tackle & i left it "in the white".

i was surprised that its never rusted, but i do keep everything oiled & clean.

Thanks for posting the photos. Will the PKM click on the tripod with that trigger? VLTOR and MarColmar triggers looks original so I was wondering how is their semi conversion.

That makes me wonder what the price of those kits are going for these days.
I sure would like to set one of them on the shooters table at the range, I got a feeling that there would be a lot of other shooters stopping to watch. LOL
    Nice looking rifle!

YES. it works on everything & has almost identical outer dimensions. the whole idea was to make sure it would work on everything & in any combination.

the only difference is in that its SA instead of FA.

to compare here is a postie set in the exact same spot as the SA on the exact same day about 5 mins later.

take the semi auto from earlier post....

    vs this one

    FA PKM.jpg

they were both matched in finish & we swap ammo cans/belts back & forth between them. the ONLY way you can tell them apart is if you look at the safety & see that the SA has an AR flip switch vs the PKM switch on the FA.
