    Default FAL kits update

FYI, ammunitionstore.com has FAL kits but they've not updated their website to reflect current inventories. They still have Rhody FALs, but slightly different offerings -

They have Grade-2 and Grade-1 barrels, with or without mags, with either PLASTIC or WOOD stock sets. Since I'm going to replace the stocks I chose the cheapest Grade-1 kit, $169 each.

Surprisingly, their FAL kits are slightly cheaper (by about $10) than posted prices.

I'm motivated to get these due to the barrel ban nonsense. Not that it will matter for .308 barrels, but I want to be sure I have an "original" FAL barrel. Seems US-built .308 barrels would be more expensive than .223 barrels. But you never know!

To add to this, the "only" other FAL parts kits I can find that are reported to be in stock are from

    http://www.militarygunsupply.com/shop/category.asp
    - STG-58 and Rhodesian
    http://www.floridagunworks.com/
    - Imbel FAL kits

    Good to know!

Actually, the parts kits I found for $169 are Rhodesian FALs, NOT STGs. That's actually a good price for an STG... the only place I know of that has STGs in stock is Military Gun Supply and they sell for $350!!!

I too must say that MGS is a good company - have already ordered from them twice and received great service.

Someone had mis-typed my CC number on the order so it didn't go through... well, they tried to contact me 2 different way (phone & email) then when I got in touch with them they re-entered my number & finished order. This has happened before, and OTHER companies have simply cancelled the order, so I'm very happy with MGS.
