    Default FAL springs

I bought a complete FAL spring kit from Midway.
It was pretty reasonable IIRC it was @$12

I figured if I'm going to do a build, I might as well start with new springs. The nice part is that each spring is individually packed and marked. As I used a spring, I put the old spring back in the pack and resealed it.
Now not only do I have all new springs in my build, I've got a spare which is easily identified.
A lot of these springs look very similar, so this is a big help. Best 12 bucks I ever spent.

Edit; I just checked the invoice the spring kit was only $10.79

Nice set, never checked out Midway before, I just ordered their catalog. Also, you do have snail mail on its way as of yesterday!
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, because I am the baddest motherfu$@er in the goddamn valley.

FYI, if those are Tapco springs, the recoil springs are a bit stiffer than OEM. You will most likely have the gas closed a couple clicks more than with the old springs. Be careful if you try to replace the extractor spring and get a butt stock tool from Tapco to remove the recoil springs.

I'm fully aware that it is a Tapco spring kit, but all the Tapco stuff is much cheaper from Midway than Tapco itself.

I just bought 6 Tapco FAL products from Midway.

    Spring kit Tapco= $16.99 Midway= $10.79
    Short MB T= 19.99 M= 13.29
    Buttstock tool T= 11.99 M= 7.59
    US forearm T= 39.99 M= 25.29
    Gas tube wrench T= 18.99 M= 11.99
    Pocket sight tool T= 4.99 M= 2.99

I saved a total of $41.00 by going through Midway rather than ordering direct from Tapco.

The extractor tool is unnecessary, they are very easy to do without it.
