Hi guys, where can I find US FAL stock sets? I know tapco used to have them, and DSA has them too (but, pricy), then who else?

also, other than a different lower/stock, does the para also use different internal parts comparing to a fixed FAL?

And who makes good US FAL FCG sets? are they expensive?

Thanks

The para bolt carrier is different. The topcover is also. The topcover has a tab on the back, there is a recoil spring guide rod sticking forward from it. The recoil spring fits over the rod and rides in the little tunnel at the top of the cover. The top of the carrier that normally would ride in the tunnel is cut away except for a section at the front with a hole in it that lets it ride over the guide rod. You drop the bolt and carrier in without the topcover in place, slide the recoil spring over the guide rod, then install the topcover. IIRC, the cutout at the front of the receiver is different for a Para topcover as well, but you can modify the cover to fit a standard receiver.

Yep, the topcover has to come off if you want the carrier out. IIRC, there is at least one scopemount that replaces the topcover that has a removeable recoil spring guide for use with a Para. On that one you can leave the topcover/mount in place and the mounting tab for the recoil guide rod comes out for bolt removal.
