With Imbel GL uppers now going in the $450-$500 range, this would be sweet to find. This ad is two years old

That's what I paid for mine in 2003!

If the imbel receivers are still $175 a piece, then the recent imbel kits would have been sold for $250-$300 a set ( remember these will be the last kit sets with original barrel).

they are gonna get you either way

Well if we're doing the wish thing, I'd prefer going back a bit further. In '87 I remember walking into a gun store and drooling over a M2HB with a $2000 price tag on it.

And I remember 2 years ago you could still buy a mac 10 for a little under a grand. And AIM had golden tiger 7.62x39 for $65.00 per thousand. And I wasn't quite as old as I am now

When I want to really cry I go look at my SGN's from the 80's and 90's. The prices are enough to make me kick myself.

Wait a couple years and you'll be saying the same thing about 2006. As far as I'm concerned - These are the good ole days. (and I can still remember Trapdoor Springfields selling for $15 and Govt' 45's for $50)

Back then a new MAC parts kit was under $100, and the ATF would approve your application to build it into a NFA weapon. Or you could just buy the semi from Cobray and shoot it, about 500 rounds and it would go FA whether you wanted it to or not. On the ammo side, chinese steel core was 3 cents a round, and I definately wasn't as old as I am now.
