Wink i had one of the castings and traded earlier this

year for some ak parts since i was lucky(?) enough to get a 100% century which has run 100% since i put it together. the bolt locks on the hardened locking lug which is fine but i would NEVER shoot a fal without a hardened reciever.too old and crippled to mess anything else up at this late date.i dont recall any difference in feed ramps between the unfinished and finished recivers ive had tho.

Pictures can be found on Roderus "homegunsmithing site"

and yes I shoot this rifle regularly without heat treatment, I am using 36gr of 3031 the bolt usually will not cycle. the casting is not lightened in any way except to open the chamber and to thin the rails

    if you want some pictures
message me at captainjack692@aol.com and i will be glad to send what pictures I have

    This guy's from FAL Files.

He's either full of $hit, or completely off his rockers.

JB Weld, a dremel, and chisels won't build an FAL receiver.

Please do not feed the TROLLS.

I wonder what RC the recievers on the originals were hardened too. That would give you a good place to start on the hardening process. I happen to be a member at Roderus, I shall check out the work.

As an owner of many 308s, one being a DSA FAL SA58. I can only say that 36 gr of 3031 (assuming your using a 150gr bullet) that won't cycle the action is only slightly hotter than a 30-30. The 308 comes alive at much higher velocity. Might a Winchester 94 have been a less expensive venture?

CK I am calling you a liar in Public on this website for all to see
you are the troll here and a new member here at that

you owe me a apology troll

again for others if you want pictures e-mail me. at Captainjack692@aol.com, if someone would be kind enough and technically able to upload them for me that would be appriecated

I finally pinned in the ejector block and mag release today, the mags needed for these 70% receivers is the inch not metric receiver. I am off to the range using 36grs of 3031 with 147 gr gi pulled fmj, once the gas system works flawlessly I will tap the bolt carrier and modify the top cover
