Thanks one million. I have a few more showing the ejector pins and mag release screw. I fired 5 rounds last week they were 40gr of 3031 relatively wealk rounds. next I will use military rounds for gas function
these are the same pictures found on the roderus site(you must be a member and log in to see the forum) also on weaponeer under FAL
I have removed the JB weld I used to help the feeding ramp, now that the mag locks into place rounds feed out of the mag into the chamber without any problems
to the nay sayers and non believers I say get a life.
Sprat and sprat1 are one and the same.

Sprat, I think it shows a huge amount of skill and patience to pull that build off. Good job. My comment was only to say it's time to get that bad boy heat treated. I did not mean for my comment to sound like a naysayer towards you.

Sprat I am having problems with norton interfering with some uploads. I will get the rest uploaded when I can figure out what is stopping it.

Sprat - Nice build, right out of a 3Rd world country - lol - we might be closer to that than most can imagine, gas food & everything else. I got an Imble Tapco fal receiver years ago.
I'll have to dig it up and take a closer look at it. I helped a friend build one with a 100% receiver. Gun plumber made it easy. The only hard part was the locking pin if I remember
right. We had to use dry ice & heat to get it in. You should see the Thompson 28 build at Beltfed - Others said it could not be done, but see who got the last laugh

    .

P.S. There was a place selling raw AR 15 receivers and had info on heat treating
in SG news at there web sight. PSS. ( Don't let the want-to- bee's bother you )
    Need more Pic's Xfrog
