Default Newest project need some advice....IZZY build

Picked up a IZZY light kit a while ago. Argy barrel but most the rest of the parts are izzy. I installed it on a DCI receiver but when I screw it in, I'm left with a gap between the barrel and receiver (shown in red).
Are there such things as shims for this? Is that my best option? Who has them?

Also what kind of front sight/gas block is this? I received a izzy gas plug but it doesn't fit and I had an extra imbel gas plug and that doesn't fit. WTF

    Any ideas from the experts??

    From Galil Build ?'s
Get a can of Adrenaline Rush or Red Dog, drink it...Then cut a shim out of the can.
I've done it successfully with FAL's, the metal is so thin and compressable it shouldn't interfere with headspace enough to worry with.
I have over 5000 rds. through an FAL I did that way and zero problems and thats a 7.62x51 round.
Try it, if it doesn't work and headspace ,you are out $2.

Also the Izzy gas tube length and piston are different than regular metrics...The sights are also lower, both front and rear on the Israeli model. Gunthings.com can set you up.
    Hope this helps

    Gunco,
Do you mean the space between the handguard ring and the reciever?? If it's between the barrel shoulder and reciever(Can't tell from pic) you need a breeching washer, Try DSA, Enterprise, or Dealers. The gas block is identical to the one on my factory Argentine Fal. Dealers should have argentine gas plugs. Hope this helps, Artty

Yes between the barrel shoulder and receiver. "Breeching washer" I'll see if those dealers have any thanks!
