you can use a standard lower for a pistol, just plug the hole for the recoil spring so a stock can't be installed. You are going to love a fal pistol!!
Kind of looks like I missed the window over the last two years to pick one up I can afford. I still have five ak's to finish and would hate to get rid of two to get an fal. However I feel the need to build and own at least one. Then again that is how I ended up with a handfull of ak's. Gunbroker seems to be a rip off for kits and I just got screwed buying some brass on there and lost a few bucks. Who do you guys recommend buying a kit through.
Only bad thing with the FAl is the ammo cost.
I bought one two years ago and I believe if I'm going to shoot it often I am going to have to start reloading.
I think you're wrong, having to handload is a good thing
who still has kits with barrels
I picked up a parts kit for $200
Penguin Stock (2nds) $30
US FCG $45
Mag Floor plate $1 ea
My Gunsmith timing a headspace barrel $60
shipping for parts $38
Total $574 pending refinishing
Shoots very nicely, thank you. I'll post picks when it gets back from park and Duracoat
