Sprat just proved the impossible can be done.

I have a full CNC machine shop, should be a bit easier for me. I found this thread over on the Guild: Login

They have an FAL print. Pryotex says its OK, others said it has errors. So download it with cautions. IIRC, you need 20 posts to download on the guild.

P.S. wierd, the posted copy says "login" where I pasted. Title is FAL castings build by Pryotex on july 1 2011

Just another note, I felt bad when Sprat suggested an FNG such as myself should have searched the forum first. He's right, but I HAD searched. I just looked again for his thread dated 5/14/2007, its not listed in my BIY forum for FAL.

FWIW, I spend more time scanning forums for old builds than i do posting. There's not much that hasn't been done several times before, especially if you have 20 forums to cruise through.

I joined Gunco and I'm making an effort to "pay it forward" for the great thread i found on building my HK21 here.

grumpy the pictures are there, I will repost them

    Karl

my post about doing research was not directed at you to put you down it is attempt on my part to get you and more impotantly others who are reading and trolling to understand this info is out there

once I did this build there where lots of guns ( all with CNC) who had to do it themselves and good for them, the difference is I did mine by hand as i do with all my builds, just take patience and or course some level of skill

    sorry about the pic quality

I cut the internal rails with a dremel with router attachment, I used a orignal; reciever stub I cut in half and filed flat I used it to start the thread and to ensure the timing was correct also the gas valve threads locked in to place with a receiver vise

the plans out there are close every step one must measure and remeasure

Here's another. Not sure its better.

When this job gets to the top of the pile, I'll use both prints and an actual receiver.

I'm impressed with Sprat's solution to barrel timing. Still, I think I'll thread mill it.

never complain when its for free, don't look a gift horse in the mouth, can't always get what you want ETC ETC
I had large scale actual prints, but i sold then with the tooling, using the stub will help accomplish 90% of this build, the inner and outer rails just go straight back that should not be hard for CNC or bridgeport???
for the ejector block copy the plans provided, scale out on copy machine and double check with a actual full auto block , (most semi blocks do not have the holes drilled out)

just go slow there is no race this has all been done before by others

I was not trying to offend. Just seeing what else if anything was out there. This is one of those bucket list builds I always wanted to do.
I appreciate all the info that is shared.Sorry again if I offended anyone.
