yeah i been looking at GB but them aholes are price gouging, like well over $100 for one. Ill check out fal files though. And yes i have a confirmed accurate print from someone at cncguns, possibly from here. Its the standard print thats been floating around but with penned in corrections.

I was just able to score a FAL R1A1 'sporter' casting for $50 shipped. Anyone know what the "sporter" implies about the casting? I know R1A1 is south african version of the FAL, but is it metric? Or can I choose to make the receiver to inch specs or metric 1,2,3 specs?

All of the Century castings I've seen have the same description. So do the 100% Centuries I've seen. Yes the R1 is metric.

Anyone have a guide for completing one of the Century arms receivers? I received the one i got for $50 shipped and was looking it over. It looks pretty much done but then again I've never looked at a completed FAL receiver before. I just know theres supposed to be a hole drilled in the round thing behind the mag well so the trigger box can attach. Other than that its really hard to tell whats missing from my plans someone sent me. I've love an autocad/solidmodel of a receiver if anyone has one.

I have heard of two things done with these,
    1) Make a 9mm blow back rifle or pistol, no need for locking lugs or heat treating
    2) Cut and weld up a demilled front end to the back portion of the casting

Stimpy's one? It's real, though you'll have much better luck looking for him over on the FAL files.

I have 2 around her someplace, need to find them, ended up buying complete receiver for my build, but thought I could complete them by dimensioning off the working model, probably one more of the projects I will never get to
