    Default Help on barrel extension

What is the O.D. of the barrel extension, or what is the diameter of the hole to be drilled into the front of the upper receiver to accept the extension?
    Thanks

I'm no expert but I don't understand what your trying to ask (and maybe others don't either), that might be why noone is responding.

But to me a barrel extension atatches to the end of the barrel to make it longer (like if the barrel is under 16"), your confusing me with the part about "what is the diameter of the hole to be drilled into the front of the upper receiver to accept the extension". Maybe a link to something your thinking about?

What I was wanting was the od of the barrel extension, that part that is pinned to the rear of the barrel and contains the locking lugs for the bolt and is inserted into the upper receiver and held in place by the barrel nut just behind the delta ring. I believe it is .998" od and the hole in the front of the upper reciever is 1.000".

You had me curious at first, as I hadn't heard many questions about AR's on this forum lately. I measured the barrel extension on one of my barrels and yes, the O.D. did measure .998. Hope this helps.
