DSArms responded stating that they are 2-3 weeks behind answering emails, due to the fear of the Obamapocalypse; I'll call them tomorrow. Haven't heard anything back from FTF Industries.

Talked to DSArms, they are back ordered on their 80% receivers. They don't know when new ones will be in stock. They will fill back orders as they get the parts in... I put in an order for 8 three weeks ago, so get in line.

Considering that everyone is sold out, that kind of goes without saying. Also remember that the tools to finish the receiver builds will cost you around $200. Further, you aren't really allowed to build receivers as a business, you're going to need an FFL01 if you want to get into that. These receiver blanks should be used for personal hobby purposes only. As I said, I ordered 8, I'll probably wind up selling the blanks to friends or in the classified section. I'd never ever sell a receiver I made, due to liability and possible legal ramifications. People say you can sell them, I just wouldn't.

This thread aint been visited for over a month, but I just stumbled into it.

Any news on this? I'm shopping.

Who's Kevin mentioned earlier in the thread? I just sent a e-mail to him.

What about the tannery shop, they still out of business or MIA or whatever?

    Here are my updates...

    1. I'm still on the waiting list for DSArms, for 8 receivers. They stated they will be filling all back orders, though they don't have any idea when the orders will come in. I also have a sneaking suspicion that these may be 10% receivers, I sent them an inquiry to confirm or deny that. My order status says:
11/14/2008 Back Ordered, No Shipment Set
Still listed on their site: AR15 Lower Receiver 7075-T6 Alloy Forging, Military Spec-D S Arms

    2. There's a guy named Kevin, mentioned on CNCguns.com, he says he'll be out of stock until April. You can follow his thread at AR15.com, he also said he does not keep an email list, so you'll just need to keep an eye on his thread.
$120 plus shipping. US only. No paypal. More pics on request. email or IM
AR15.COM :: Forums :: AR15 80% Forgins for sale OUT OF STOCK UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

    3. There's a "10% CNC10/AR10 lower receiver group buy" posted on the CNCGuns.com forum.
The price will be $250 + $10 shipping. This will be a very limited run.
10% CNC10/AR10 lower receiver group buy

    4. Tannery Shop doesn't seem to offer 80% receivers anymore.

    5. OSI Gunsmithing - Out of Stock
      OSI Gunsmithing Tools

    6. Joiner Optics seems to have them in stock for $170, though I haven't called them, you'll have to do the leg work here. The buffer tube has been drilled & tapped on these units, though you'll have to mill out the mag tube yourself.
      AR-15 80% Lower Receivers

    7. KAD Engineering
According to another thread on the CNCGuns forum, KAD sells them.
Thank you for your interest in my 80% forgings. I sell them for $120 plus shipping $7.00 for 1 and $10 for increments of 12 or less.
Read this thread: 80% AR15 Lowers - Where to get them

    8. AR15 Plus - All receivers are back ordered
AR15 Plus Store - custom firearm parts, kits, AR15, AK47

    9. Tactical Innovations has an item titled "AR15 LOWER RECEIVER RAW FORGING" in stock for $34.99, though these look more like 10% receivers, they will be fairly hard to finish.
AR15 LOWER RECEIVER RAW FORGING - Tactical Innovations Inc.

    10. FTF Industries never answered my email. The pic they have posted looks more like a 10% than an 80%.

    11. KT Ordnance still does not have them listed.

I'll post back when/if I get more information or someone asks again.

joezx10r, you're a crazy dude! Good luck on your build, I'd love to see your rifle when you're done!

FYI to everyone else, I just got my order confirmation from DSArms, my receiver blanks should be shipping today.

    Default ar-15 80%

KT is out of the reciever business if you did business with him 3 years ago you would know that

William at tannery stopped selling ar-15 cast lowers many many months ago and it was all old stck

DSA only sells 0% forged receivers, to my knowledge but maybe they decided to start selling them???? I made a functional receiver from one of there 0% forged paperweights with a drill press and hand tools (see at Roderus) I used a real 80% from tannery as a guide, easy if you are a builder, I should say a real builder

CNC is out of 80% I just bought one of the last last month, he will not have more till the late spring

ar-15 has been out for some time but they have 45 automatic frames get them while you can

I have one on back order with a company in Florida called swat it will not arrive until the first of march

    he who hesitates

they are gone start buying what you can get in the way of 80% for trade in the future, also kits have gone up most ar-15 kit companies are behind a month or two in back orders

    sprat
Sprat and sprat1 are one and the same.
