Thats nice. What are you using for magazines? I read somewhere someone made a 30 rounder using an AR topend with the AK lower that works. If you could come up with a 75 rd hybrid or a beta that would really be sweet!!

Update: It shoots better than I expected (still not broken in), but feeds too erraticly for anything but a range toy So, it won't be going on any hog hunts this year.

Due to recent political events, this project is going on back burner for a while.

I do have some more 30rd.ers on back order, but other than that, no more $$$ will be going into this. Still, half the price of an AK pistol if you have the rest of the parts on hand and 3 AR Pistol lowers you NEED to get config'ed as pistols....

I'm going to swap parts around again to get my .223 carbine back to bayonet loving configuration, and my KittyKat back to "big flash/bigger noise" dispenser

I've got ONE 30rd. Mag from C-Products... In order to get it to feed reliably, I replaced the spring with a Wolff extra power AK mag spring. I tried "flipping" the original spring, and that helped alot, but not enough.

about $250 for the barrel & bolt plus parts I already had

nope, it's a Bushmaster Signature16 upper I got from Kiesler's awhile back. (16" bbl, with 16" Free Float handguard) It gets ALOT of funny looks on range day I do like the 'recycled mag lite' tube idea tho!!!
