Default Colt AR kits at SG.

Is this a decent price for a vintage Colt kit in this condition??

Try reading the description, not just looking at the pretty pictures....

Colt M16A1 parts kit that includes a new 20inch un-chromed barrel (that's still in the white and needs final machining to fit the front sight), trigger group Internals (may be missing some small parts), M16A1 upper receiver, Colt bolt carrier group, barrel nut, handguards (which will have some cracks or chips), front sight, Colt accessory pack (sling and cleaning kit), and Colt fbuttstock. Does not include a lower receiver or magazine. ALL NFA Rules apply. No FFL required. Used, in very good to excellent condition."

without the colt made barrel there isn't that much colt content. one wonders how well the used colt bolt is going to head-space to the new commercial barrel & barrel extension? i would certainly check the head-space.

one last thing--looks like lots of m16 parts in the fire control group. these will have to be converted into ar-15 semi only specs or replaced less your going for class 3.

Better off to buy a kit from Blackthorn.com.

Say what you want, I have built twelve kits now from them, and any issue I had was dealt with fast, and professional. Just as good as Model1, DSA, and Del-Ton.

    $409 plus shipping.

    Have a nice day.

I bought two kits from SG. Absolutely beautiful. Parts as-new. Barrel new. I had them put together by Project Guns using Rock River FCG and Essential Arms lower. Super guns!

I put together 6 of these for people and 5 of them looked like new, the stocks & handguards were excelent condition and the rest looked like they were never fired.

some of the places with lower prices take out the mag, cleaning kit, sling and bayonet.
