    Default 9mm AR bolt source?

I'm piecing together a 9mm upper slowly. Does anyone have suggestions for a reasonable priced bolt. I would like a ramped bolt if possible.
Also, how important is a deflector block and where is a good source for some of the small parts I will need for a 9mm upper? I have a barrel, upper, and free float tube.
    Thanks for the help.

    JSE Surplus

JSE has been selling an excellent ramped bolt for $150. take a look on their 9mm ar page.

if you go with the ramped bolt your not going to need a 9mm hammer, this way you can use most standard ar-15 lower parts. JSE also sells a pro-mag mag block.

it is plastic and metal, i think it is $34 and uses colt type mags. i got one so far it seems to do the job.

there is no need for a deflector, buy some good mags. i have some c-prod 9mm colt type that run well. JSE amd CDNN sells them i think AIM has the lowest price like $12.99 IIRC.

JSE Surplus - AR 9mm only thing is i think their out of the $150 ramped 9mm bolts and they only show one mag block left--

J427x, that is where I saw them before. They are currently out, but I talked with someone there and they are waiting on more. I have the barrel and promag block from them. Seems like a lot of suppliers are low on some parts right now. I guess i'll keep checking back with them. Anything I should watch for with a 9mmbaby build?

JSE is really good about re-stocking stuff. last time i ordered a barrel that was showing out of stock it shipped three days later. maybe that was just luck but hey!

moleman is the 9mm AR guru to talk to.

all i can say is the 9mm ramped bolt , barrel and mag block i got from JSE went in the A3 flattop upper very easy and runs like clockwork with the c-prod 9mm mags i got from a fellow gunco member.

a 9mm blowback build is super easy.

i did have to make a heavy buffer due to excessive bolt velocity with a stock buffer. i compressed three or four 1oz lead sinkers( ok maybe they were 3/4th oz ) in a standard CAR buffer, then compressed shotgun shot to top it off to the full mark.

i think it cost like $1.50 to do. you may or may not need a heavy buffer--

i have built a lot of AR-15s in the last few years, but the 9mm with the ramped bolt is about as easy as it gets. no gas tubes or barrel bolt timing to mess with , no gas ports --makes it a breeze for the blow-back 9mms

very fun to shoot as well!

yea though i don't think a lot of 9mm generally a 9mm AR is very handy!

JSE has bolts back in stock. Now they are $50 higher than the last batch. I guess I have to save a few more pennies. I could get the RRA bolt then ramp it or pay for a 9mm hammer kit. Either way price is probably a wash.

yea, the overstock of AR-stuff does seems to be drying up.

    I have 4, 9mm AR15 rifles.

So much fun to use and easy to handle.

    Potent power and low cost.

    Defenitely worth the investment.
