    Hope your Gold Card is paid up droog,,,,they ain't cheap nowadays. Hope ya find a nice one, had this been 5-6 months ago a friend had a Garrand he sold that was a nice one,, not a collector grade one, but a real nice shooter none the less.

    July 43 mfg about 1/2 matching#, it went for $700. A steal by today's standards.

    At the fun show this last weekend here the going prices for M1 Garands was about $1050 - $1200. I know the guy here that has them. If you're interested, I can forward his information to you droog.

    CMP is the only way to buy a Garand! $625-ish is worth the wait

    What he said. Got three from the CMP several years back. One was a Winnie with a Dane VAR barrel, beech stock and lock bar sights. All were well worth the money.

    Got mine through the CMP, joined the Texas State Rifle Association, paperwork was easy and my Garand was also a Winchester in beautiful condition, at the gunshows they are going for $1200 to $1800 and nice ones are scarce.
