some stocks have a notch cut in the buffer tube for the retaining pin.

my new DPMS pardus sstock came with a notch --form fitted for the buffer pin-- just like molemans mod.

lots of places in the USA sell single parts for the AR-15. i just don't know off hand how many would ship to france. it shouldn't be too big of a problem as long as there are no problems with the state department shipping it.

i would try DSG arms and maybe armalite.

    link to DSG

DSG Arms: Armalite M15A4CB Mid-Length Carbine Upper Receiver

places like armalite,SARCO and sherluck also sell single parts if that is all you need as well.

If you have a buddy with a lathe, they could make one for you in a few minutes. A lot of companies won't ship gun parts out of the country.

First, why buy a new one? Take the detent and spring out. Tighten receiver extension. Place buffer and spring back in receiver extension and slowly close upper. Carbine will work fine you just have to remember when you open the rifle that the buffer is loose (put your thumb there to catch it). Works in the Sandbox when parts can't be found.

As for parts. Time to hit the Arms Fair
