Thumbs up AR 57 + rpd brass catcher

you guys have all seen my AR 5.7 x28 upper and heard me rave about how good it is... some of you guys also have them and if you do this may grab you....

my friend Rich at Beltfedshooters.com had a spare RPD drum and he thought i needed to test this little set up out for him.

    so here it is!

and of course to make Lilly happy (and give you a size of the set up, Lilly is 4' tall and about 60lbs)

FUNCTION: perfect! this thing throws the brass pretty hard but the RPD drum has enough space that they go right down in there and then are out of the way. im guessing it would hold several hundred before you would need to empty it.

the RPD drum is very light and this add about 1lb to the set up.... very manageable.

    Dutigaf,

You are a lot cuter than I had imagined you ;-)

That looks pretty cool. How do you like your AR57? I've not heard any reviews on those yet.

Shorter too! I thought you'd be taller

That's a good idea - glad it works for you! I was looking at those uppers myself. The wife has claimed the P90 as her own so it would be nice to have a 2nd gun in that caliber.

will 6970 has a review up on it and ive got one here somewhere too.

its a great set up and a very very impressive cartridge. its a little pricey on the ammo (about .38 rnd) but still way cheaper than lots of other rounds and i use it in my CCW pistol as well (FN Herstal)

heres a pic of the duo .....

and thanks for the compliments on my little helper. shes a FA nut!
