Default Spike's Tactical ST-T2 Heavy buffer?

Anyone used this buffer? I am considering it for my carbine build...

are you having problems with the carbine?

    whats the barrel length?

lots of things affect the amount of buffer you will require. most of the standard 16 inch carbines firing 5.56 with no can in semi auto get along quite well with the one that ships with the collapsible stocks from what i have seen.

None of my 16" carbines use anything except what they came with (standard carbine buffer). Never any problems.

Also, I don't use the uber/ultra/unbeliveable/gotta have extractor upgrade, in fact I'm still using the old "orange" bumper and the old three coil spring. Never any problems.

As far as I'm concerned, if you "need" this stuff, there's something wrong with the carbine.

Note: This info does not apply to NFA firearms.

this is true. even my 7.62x39 16 inch barreled CAR is running the stock buffer from a mako stock kit. the 6.5 grendel is running a "H" mainly because i shoot lots of jacked up hand-loads in it. all my normal length barrel carbines are running the standard buffer.

less your doing NFA no point it it. hell i saw a kid once buy all this mall-ninja name dropping shit. and it wouldn't do nothing but short stroke. he came by here asking me about ordering some "special" lower resistance recoil spring and enlarging his gas port.

well i popped his upper on my stock lower and it worked fine then. well i pulled his buffer and lo and behold it was a "h3" put in a regular made in Taiwan El-cheapo standard weight buffer and his carbine is running like a clock now.

too much buffer when it isn't needed is not a help.
