buds has got the bushmaster 7.62x39 uppers for $500 i think. might be worth it if there chrome lined--but i sort of think there just plain molly.

hehe! 4th --just think you could crop that 16" back to 10.4" --what a blast and fireball the 7.62x39 would have!--LOL!

one thing i can say about EBR-girls and JSE --i can't get off their site without ordering something--i just had to pick up some of those bolts, firing pins, LPK's , grips--arrg!--LOL!

I have a non-chrome lined DPMS, it is accurate as hell.

I'd like a 7.62 AR, but the mags are pricey and I question function..

I have two- a 16 in and a 20 in. J427x helped me get them going and now they will shoot anything I feed them- cheapo Russian and good brass-it doesn't matter!

the 7.62x39 is a bit more of a challenge to work with than the 5.56/5.45x39 but it makes a fine shooter once you know its little quirks.

the 7.62x39 is a whole new ballgame and tricks that work on a 5.56 can turn a 7.62x39er into a jam-0-matic.

i have built two for myself and they run like clockwork with the c-prod mags.

one thing i love about the 7.62 is the 7.62x39 rounds gas map is perfect for a carbine gas system!

    Cmags work for me too.

thanks to your help, the piston system now runs like a champ. and to be honest, i'd rather shoot it than my 5.56's.
