    It's a dual gas piston system.
    One piston top right and one top left of the bolt carrier.
    The recoil spring is located top center of the bolt carrier.

    The LR-300 [I guess it is the para TTR now] has a pretty cool way of doing it... Google it and you'll find some pics of it.

    i want one.

    Time to weigh the pro's and cons...

    Pros. I spend tax returns on this, get an awesome toy.

    Cons. Wife takes me apart, piece by piece.
