    Never dealt with Palmetto personally.

I have seen their name a lot and never seen it named in anger. They seem to have a dedicated following, and that does not happen by accident. I keep looking at their stuff. I am just not in a position to buy as many of you already know. We have some good folks here who are sold on them....Maybe it is time to reward their good service with some orders. That is my plan....

sort of doubt FN has much to do with anything sold by PSA due to the DOD's restrictive policy on selling GI contract parts to the public.

from what i have seen of PSA uppers they look like a mix of LAR/CMT made stuff of which there is absolutely nothing wrong with.

IF the BCG's were FN or colt they would have a de-mill mark. so far i haven't seen one with that de-branding mark. i do suspect their barrels are made of the correct mall ninja steel, i do have suspicions of who made them but i'll go no further. i don't think their FN though. just look north--LOL.

i consider the PSA uppers to be very good and probably the best out there for what they cost.

keep in mind i have only seen a couple of them--so YMMV.

The earlier "FN" barrels where Stamped "FN" in a circle or something. As of now, they are not I believe. I am unsure why? I'm pretty sure everything else is out-sourced.

Where do you get they use FN barrels? I know I bought an upper from them last year. While they were extremely nice, the product wasn’t. I will keep it simple and suggest you pass their deals over.

The ones made with barrels from blackhole weaponry barrels are amazing. The guy who makes them is also from washington state and he uses polygonal rifling 3 or 5 arks.

Directly from there sight, and several people purchased them and stated that they are "FN" barrels

    Direct from their website:
"Barrel: A proprietary blend of Hammer forged chrome molly vanadium made by FN that is referred to as "Machine Gun Steel" by virtue of its use in FN's M249 and M240 weapons."

if i read that correctly "made of FM machine gun barrel steel" rather than made by FN.

i can't believe FN would be stamping out 16" carbine barrels for the mass market.

maybe they got a sub to turn a few on their steel??

just did a little digging -- is seems ALL hammer forged barrels are FN made. the button rifles ones are wilsons.

so yea PSA is selling FN made barrels although there not all theirs are made by FN. i suppose FN's contract must have been revised. nothing at all wrong with either make sooo---
