No I am funnin Kernel. We have too take the pin out and put the gas tube on correctly.
The barrel my buddy bought, has a pin that slides in for barrel alignment.
Good tips from yall on building.. Thank you.
Other than the Military, I really am not at all familiar with these weapons.
But slowly learning here, how they go together and function.
Quite an ingenious weapon they created.
I really never even cleaned one before, or took one apart.
The Govt. did not even give us cleaning kits.
We had the miracle new weapon, that did not need cleaning I guess?
But credit where credit is due.
We beat the hell out of them and they kept on ticking.

the AR-15/m16 does need to be cleaned every so often.

it hardly needs to be cleaned as much as that old gunny said --

we kept ours sanitary clean--- one thing i'll admit is a lot of the cleaning was just "busy work" in case the brass was looking--LOL

the chamber and the bolt carrier needs to kept reasonably clean. it will run pretty dirty if it has too .

the ar-15/m16 ain't no AK in that it won't EAT dirt and dust and like it--
