I built a gun out of a DSA upper like the one in the picture, but free floated the barrel and put in a Jard trigger. It really is a tack driver. The barrels are made by Mossberg (according to the salesman from DSA). 1/2 to 5/8 minute groups are the norm with 68 grain bullets. That's probably not a bad deal in today's market.

the 1-9" barrels are made from mossburg blanks of 4140 steel, many of those made in the last couple years had the nitride treatment.

i think most of the newer ones are mostly just park with no nitride. worth it to get the older nirtited ones IMHO.

1-7" barrels have 4150Cva steel and chrome lined bore and chamber. i don't know where they get the blanks from, for them i suspect their next door neighbors they once got their lowers from.

hell yea DSA makes very good ar-15s.

i have never bought a rifle but i have used many of their parts.

the 14.5" m4 upper they got is the best buy in the ar-15 world when you pin on a FH long enough to not need a NFA stamp.

that is pretty close to the MSRP on the ML with the nitride --
check with the DSA website ---

I ordered the same upper only unfluted from them( DSA) in December just before christmas, still have not heard from them, the price was $295, I don't expect to hear from them at that price
