due to a snafu mine come today, I will up date, I am heading back out the door for travel this weekend, so it will be a week or so before I start mine

up-date Ok my three blems showed up today I got a chance to go over them, they are black with white ( in the FCG) I would like to note that these 80% will NOT fit in a OSI jig, my AR jig is first generation so I will have to order a EP jig

Got mine in today. I can see no flaws exept maybe a little fuzziness in the finish in spots.

Sprat, Do they even make a jig? I did not see them on their web site.

I believe I read somewhere that the ATF deemed indentation as "holes" so the nipples replaced them as guides to drill the FCG holes.

Chiroone - AFAIK EP advertises theirs as "jig-less" and don't make one. I think I remember seeing them say on another forum that a jig could be used, but they did not specify what kind.

It is possible you can use this one (but I'm not sure):
    http://polymer80.com/product/ar15-80...-receiver-jig/

I'll call them tomorrow to find out and then update this post.

They are jig-less. The indented nipples are the drill guides. I tried mating mine to three different lowers. The blem part of the two I got is the rear take down pin hole is drilled a little off I think. Fixable.

yes they are jig less, I meant borrow standard jig as my osi will not work, I have yet to drill into those nipples that will difficult if the bit moves, thats where a jig would work

the problem with the polymer 80 jig is again the triggerguard on ep lower, don't think they will fit, don't know that to be a fact but it looks that way

Got mine in today, mates up to my BCM upper quite well. As mtdew noticed the rear take down pin might be slightly off, but its hard to tell as it might just be the lighting in here.

Theres some flashing on the moldlines and the fire selector marks are a bit fuzzy but otherwise looks pretty good. Other thing of note is that EP's "OD Green" is more like a dark forest green than any shade of olive drab I have ever seen so don't expect it to match any magpul or other OD colored furniture.

    PMAGS fit like a glove.

Now I just need some time and a lower parts kit, if it works out good I might get a couple of others for a 9mm build or spares.
