sorry they are the EP lowers, they are the 80% blems, I did not see your post sorry,
it took me longer than the video found in this thread by ep lowers and I did it without a jig. I have not had it to the range and probably will not till wednesday or so next week

not bad for a $35 receiver, much easier than the alum either cast or forged, easier on my drill bits to

I used a flat file to file off the top nub, then used a dremel and a high high speed cutter # 26150115AC and Tile cutting Bit # 562 & barrrel sanders, also a hand drill.
the upper is the new DSA upper I just got. I am using KNS trigger and hammer pins with supports because I want too

    Thanx

not as quick as the video, but heck I have done enough alum ones, cutting plastic ( polymer) was like cutting butter

at $35 a piece, talk about disposable

I assume to serial number these, itwould be to heat the steel number dies and apply? in a thick area

I am going to the range in the morning, I changed my mind

I cut the FCG area as shown in the video, I am wondering if drilling it out FCG area like a alum 80% would be quicker

Other thing of note is that EP's "OD Green" is more like a dark forest green than any shade of olive drab I have ever seen
Funny you brought this up, I ordered two of these OD green blems, the coloring is different on both, one is darker then the other.
As for the blem part, the only thing I notice is the surface in the fcg area has some very shallow lines and a faint white color on the surface, don't really see any other flaws.

I assume to serial number these, it would be to heat the steel number dies and apply? in a thick area
That should work, just don't heat them too much or hold them on there too long.

Thank you John for the comment

Thank you letting us know about the blems, Having done numerous Alum 80% I wanted to try a polymer build because of dutigafs confidence in their strength, I value his opinion.

I don't do tutorial anymore so I don't have pictures of the actual build I think you video tells it all, I have few more I will get to those in the coming weeks
