I ordered from Palm on 4th as well, still zilch. Ordered stuff from midway yesterday and its tracking to be delivered sat. I like saving money as well as the next guy but this is too damn slow.

Got my EP 80 blem done today, turned out pretty good.

Only real issues I had was that the "nipple" on the trigger pin on one side seemed to walk the drill bit off center and the trigger installed crooked. I epoxied it back up and re-drilled after letting the epoxy cure for a day and now its fine.

The detents for the take down pins absolutely refuse to work, I don't know what it is about the polymer that refuses to let the detent pins slide but it looks like i'm going to have to bolt the upper on with some machine screws and nuts or get some KNS pins. It might be my cheapo PSA LPK to blame but I kinda doubt it. Not really a big deal since i'm using this upper for a low buck pistol build but I really hope the full priced units are markedly better than the blem I received for as much as they cost.

I like the KNS pins, but you have to becareful, some times the internal screw comes loose.

I took the elongated drill bits and reamed out the detent holes and the bolt stop holes, in fact the two I did I had to ream the bolt stop holes to get the pin in place you could use standard length drill bits

I thot I heard the EP Lowers were not going to sell any more blems. I bought one when they were available. IMHO they were worth every bit of $35; now at black friday price of $75; well maybe, $100 no way would I buy another.

I have assembled the EP lower to the point that I can function test and all is well. Still waiting on the BCG and delta pack to finish the weapon. I suppose I could take the upper from one of my other AR's and test fire. I may do that if the part don't get here soon. Seems every vendor is shipping to me with that thing where it is transferred from ups or fedex to usps and that adds several days. Why not just send it usps to begin with? Ship times are comparable this way, sometimes faster, than straight ups or fedex, and cheaper.

So I went ahead and got a magpul handguard to complete it. Bumped the cost of the completed gun to about $600. Cant believe I couldn't find a standard carbine handguard from all my AR15 owning friends but no one had any. Anyhow, I went out yesterday and fired 20 rounds to check function and it runs like a champ. I tried to keep it as light as possible, and it comes in at 5.56 lbs according to the scales at work.
