Coils. I like the ace. I wanted as light as I could get. This one is blowback and has some recoil. More than I guessed. I think I may try another in DI at some point.

Kenny, come on down. The weather is really nice in the gun shine state.

Sir, how does a 9MM rifle have 'recoil'? Neither my HiPowers nor my 9MM Commander have recoil.

ok...recoil may be a little harsh. how about this. the 1 pound bolt slamming to the rear transferring the energy into my shoulder. I would have thought this would be very light at best. this thing has a definite punch. makes me wonder if the entry size buffer tube is too short and the bolt is bottoming out.

Maybe it's bottoming out, might want to try different recoil springs and see what happens, a 9mm carbine shouldn't have much recoil

If the buffer & bolt are bottoming out in the buffer tube, you might want to try a heavier buffer to prevent damage to your lower. Now a 9mm DI recoils very similar to a 17HMR bolt action. Or at least mine do. Sig came out with the MPX which is a gas operated 9mm.
